My 2 year old uses this swim belt at his swim lessons. The instructor suggested that we get one for all of the summer swimming that we do. I love that the foam pieces are removable. We started out using all three and are now down to two since my son has become a stronger swimmer. You do still need to be in the water with your child but they can swim unassisted once they figure out how to keep their head out of the water. This product is great and durable.
